D.I.Y

The IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) is having their annual international conference in Portland this week hosted by Ziba, focusing on DIY culture. I managed to get in without paying the hefty $180 student rate for one day. There were some pretty interesting talks by the likes of John Jay, creative director of Wieden+Kennedy, the coolest company you should know about but probably don't although you've happen to seen most of their work.
Here's a sampling...

Anyways spent my day there blah, blah, blah... was the youngest person there.
There were this nice solution to usb drives which reminds me that the Core 77 shop is now up and running. I especially like the safety glasses and workwear.

And as a side note I'm working on this soon to be gif.
